Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA) - A federal agency that provides special assistance for federally aided housing programs; active in the secondary money market for government subsidized housing program; “Ginnie Mae.”

GRI - The professional designation of Graduate REALTORS Institute, earned by completion of prescribed courses of study conducted by state boards of REALTORS ®.

Graduated Payment Mortgage - A residential mortgage with monthly payments that start as a low level and increase at a predetermined rate.

Grant - A transfer of real property.

Grant Deed - The document which legally transfers title to the property from the seller to the buyer.

Grantee - The person whom a grant is made.

Grantor - The person who makes the grant.

GRI - Graduated Realtors Institute. A professional designation granted to a member of the National Association of Realtors who has successfully completed three courses covering Law, Finance, and Principles of Real Estate.
